Babelfishing Poetry: "We Are Now Hard Gas"

Hello blog peeps.  How's everything going?  Hunky-dory?  Yes?  Fabulous!  Me, I am the opposite of hunky-dory.  (Would that be dory-hunky, or dunky-hory?)  Well, in spite of that, it is time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, kludge the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week it's the traditional Russian song "Song of the Volga Boatmen" (a.k.a. "Sing And Row") (watch the Male Choir of the People's Armed Police's stirring rendition here, or watch Kovcheg vocal ensemble's live performance here, or listen to Glenn Miller's jazzy instrumental version here).  Enjoy.

We Are Now Hard Gas

Puffy HO!
Puffy ho.
Take light, 1 protect, 1 protect into force, often,
and puffy ho.

Birch tree falls, now we have a dark beer.
We are now hard gas, two and three.
Domestic violence in a good year for the scientific staff, including education, Happy New Year!
We are now hard gas, two and three.

We all walked along the coast.
A solar song we sing.
Domestic violence training, Happy New Year good for scientific staff members, including the years!
A solar song, our singing.

Congratulations, you are my mother, Volga.
The river is very deep and twenty-five cubits wide.
Domestic violence in a good year for the scientific staff, including education, Happy New Year!
Volga, Ichijo River, and my mum.

Puffy HO!
Puffy ho.
Take light, 1 protect, 1 protect into force, often,
and puffy ho.
