Babelfishing Poetry: "We Have To Repair Maki"

Hello! Are you looking forward to the weekend? Me too.  And to take us there in grand style, here's more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, nudge the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

The Threepenny Opera, written in 1928 by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, provides this week's featured song, popularized by Bobby Darin, "Mack The Knife" (listen to Darin's swingin' version here, or listen to Ella Fitzgerald sing it live, improvising forgotten lyrics, here, or listen to Dave van Ronk's delicate fingerstyle guitar accompaniment and raw vocals live here, or listen to Jimmie Dale Gilmore's somnambulant version here, or listen to Marianne Faithfull's live performance here, or listen to Nick Cave's drunken carnival-style version here, or watch live video of Swiss band The Young Gods' radical industrial-style  reworking of the song here, or listen to jazz legend Sonny Rollins' instrumental version here, or listen to the Psychedelic Furs' angsty interpretation here, or listen to the King of Latin Music, Tito Puente's mambo-style instrumental version here, or watch video of Liberace playing the song successively in five styles -- original; Strauss waltz; music box; bossa nova; pseudo-boogie woogie -- here).  Enjoy.

We Have To Repair Maki

Make deals like treasure, 1.2008 ice-fishing idols, his altruistic heart.
The two of them, white pearl.
Only autumn babies, old men.
This precedes all English, Japanese.

Fish, an idol, Japanese bank.
Start or Scarlet,
and the other glove, or handbags, seniors.
I never keep track of anything red.

No, no, the morning sun first got tired way.
Only his body, oozing life together,
optional sitting-standing pomp.
Is it possible for me, an old mac sword?

Long river in a ship; you know that?
What: grass, bag, child, water, mud, people with disabilities
make deals like muddy water, women only.
We will agree, and not because you have to recover for 50 years the city of Mackay.

Unusual, yes, yes, a diving, submerged water factor.
Gloria Hotel! Hello, how are my Lord? Japanese-Russian West Palm color.
Well done, Lady; no DAMAGE.
And now: back to the Mac key.

Oh, he just said, whoa, gini kettle divers.
Heaven. Gloria nun bank, Russia West Palm color sitting down nursing.
Yes, if you give love.
Back McKee City right now.
Her old man, because we have to repair maki.
