Armed Robbery, Sept, 20, 8:30 AM, 1300 block of Irving Street
The suspect entered a store and said, "Good morning. I think I will look for something to snack on." The clerk directed the suspect to a potato chip stand and told the suspect the items were a bargain. The suspect took four small bags of chips and placed them on the register counter.
The clerk asked for $1 when the suspect produced a large revolver and stated, "Don't worry, I won't take your life. Just give me the money." The clerk handed $60 to the suspect, who then fled the store. Police took possession of the bags of chips.
