Babelfishing Poetry: I Am Earl Duke
Babelfishing Poetry: I Am Earl Duke
More Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, tweak the punctuation a little bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
Here's a Babelfish treatment (with an odd sarcastic-sounding tone to it) of Gene Chandler's doo-wop classic, "Duke of Earl."
I Am Earl Duke
Kimi,
Kimi,
Kimi.
Kimi is Earl.
I walk in this world
and cannot
do anything
to stop
the Earl Duke.
And this
is my daughter,
and you
can have one,
or not,
infringed.
Yes,
I love you.
Now, me,
you know,
I like to keep you,
Duke of Earl.
So, yeah,
yeah, yeah,
yeah --
I will keep your dukes,
Duke of Earl.
Go to Dyukudomu,
share our paradise.
Yeah, I love you.
Oh, so
you can do anything
to stop me now?
I am Earl Duke!
