Babelfishing Poetry: You Should Not Be Placed In The Red Light
Hi bloggy peeps. It's Friday, and that means it's time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, experiment with the punctuation a little bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
Let's see what kind of a mess the Police's song "Roxanne" gets turned into after half a dozen retranslations (watch video here).
You Should Not Be Placed In The Red Light
Roxanne,
please do not put a red light.
These days have elapsed.
You do not need to sell.
Your body is not at night.
Roxanne,
I walk the streets of the capital tonight.
You should wear a dress.
If you do not mind my bad,
he was right.
Roxanne,
please do not put a red light.
I love you,
because we met.
I will not talk to you.
I must tell you how I feel:
Please do not share my other boys.
(Submit comments and put on my makeup,
I know.)
I told you once,
and I cannot tell you again --
it means bad,
Roxanne.
You should not be placed in the red light,
Roxanne.
You should not be placed in the red light.
