TGIF! Time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, have some fun with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
Today the Beach Boys' classic hit "Barbara Ann" gets turned somehow into an ode to the Middle East by the Babelfishing process of re-translating it three or four times (listen to the song here).
Oh, The Palestinian!
Oh, the Palestinian!
Ba Ba River!
Babalaan Pakistan, Pakistan Ba!
Target: Babalaan 8.5.
Babaraan, holding my hand.
Babalaan, I support you --
rolling, swinging and swinging --
Babaraan town. Bababaraan!
I like to see the open air dance.
I would like to seize the opportunity,
Babaraan, to my hand.
Your day -- roll, swing, swing --
the black sheep of the Palestinian
Ba Babaraan Palestinian town!
