GoogleCreek 10/07: The Lost Field Trip

Hey, lookie what I found deep inside one of my computer's sub-sub-sub-folders: pics from 2 1/2 years ago when D. and I visited GoogleCreek (the part of Permanente Creek where it flows through the Google campus here in town). You know what they say -- better late than never.

OK, my pics first.

Near the creek we saw an egret.

(A very bright white egret who's a leeeetle overexposed.)

We also saw mallard ducks (it was migration season).

Drums of Aqua-Scrub at the ready in the back of a parking lot.

Just in case Google has any groundwater requiring remediation; wastewater needing filtration; tank rinse water or leachate wanting treatment; underground storage tanks needing clean up; any other water in need of dechlorination; and any spills necessitating cleanup.  That Aqua-Scrub sounds like something handy  for Google to keep around.  Although I'm not sure the back of a parking lot is the best place to store it.

In the front of the parking lot at the main entrance we saw a fountain.

Around the base of the fountain we saw poppies.

Here's D.'s pics.

Some birdies in the creek.

Some flowers around the fountain.

We also saw a Googlecar.

Google's vehicular conscience (at least until 11 AM).

More vehicular conscience on Google's part.

Amphitheatre Parkway looking west.

Someone awaits the bus.

Amphitheatre Parkway looking east.  Here come da bus.

Not long to wait.
