Babelfishing Poetry: "The Stone Around The Holy One Of Heaven"

Once again, here's more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, modify the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week's offering is inspired by a recent philosophical discussion among some of my friends, and Joan Osborne's 1995 hit "One Of Us" seemed a very apt song to Babelfish this week. So here it is.

The Stone Around The Holy One Of Heaven

If God had a name,
what would you do?
And we must draw on his face
when he sent all the glory?

How can I ask if there
is only one question?

Yes, ah, ah yes,
God is great.
Yes, ah, ah yes,
God has been good.
Yes, ah, ah yeah,
yeah, ah yeah, ah,
ah yes,
ah.

To God alone,
between us and the Los,
just weird on the bus,
trying to cancel it.

If God is a person,
and how?
I want to see,
and if this means
that we must believe
in Jesus and the heavenly saints
and prophets, of all things?

Yes, ah, ah yes,
God is great.
Yes, ah, ah yes,
God has been good.
Yes, ah, ah yeah,
yeah, ah yeah, ah
ah yes
ah.

To God alone,
between us and the Los,
just weird on the bus,
trying to cancel it.

Just trying to make your way
back to the house
and the stone around
the holy one of heaven.
But it allows him to return home.

No telephone call,
so you can be the Pope
in Rome.
