Babelfishing Poetry: "Waiting For The Flute As Well"

Hello! And how are you today? Good? Yes? No? Not sure? Don't know yet? Can't quite figure it out? All of the above? That's okay, because it's Friday, and it's time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, get goofy with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

Today we reach back to 1990 for one of my favorite songs, Dead Can Dance's "Fortune Presents Gifts Not According to the Book" and wind up with a little Zen-like bit of wisdom (watch video here).

Waiting For The Flute As Well

When you expect whistles
as well as the flute,
you are waiting
for the flute as well.

Another path to fortune
and glory on sale;
that is, to give the award
to dress for other people's regret.

Sometimes he and
the driver's cabin and goatpen
take away the two children
playing a goat.

His imagination was the lamest goat.

For the eggs, while
the poor village boy
has been removed from
the theft of thousands
of other crimes,
he will swing in one day.

When you expect whistles
as well as the flute,
you are waiting
for the flute as well.
