Alum Rock Park

Alum Rock Park

After a difficult most of the weekend, D. and I took a little time to head over to Alum Rock Park on Sunday afternoon to walk around a bit.  Here are some of the pics I took before I got too tired and we had to head back.

One of many ground squirrels we see scampering around by the trail.

Naked ladies in bloom.

This squirrel is eating an oak leaf.

Look at this adorable little baby ground squirrel.

"Hey, that looks good!  Can I have some?"

More naked ladies.

Western fence lizard.

View of the hills surrounding the park.

A vivid dancer damselfly rests on a rock next to Penitencia Creek.

The trail on this side of the creek is off-limits.

Penitencia Creek.

This brush chipping machine near the parking lot has over a dozen "Danger" warning signs plastered in various places all over it.

Two benches and a cone.
