Babelfishing Poetry: "Snakes Do Not Scream"

Babelfishing Poetry: "Snakes Do Not Scream"

Hello!  Friday, Friday, Friday!  And the first Friday of autumn (here in the Northern Hemisphere), too!  It's my favorite time of year.  And Friday is my favorite day of the week, because it's also time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, get silly with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week's feature is the doo-wop hit by The Impalas, "Sorry (I Ran All The Way Home)" (listen to the Impalas' version here, or listen to Irish rock 'n' roll band The Royal Showband Waterford perform it here).  Enjoy.

Snakes Do Not Scream

I'm sorry.
I'm sorry about it.
Gee, I'm sorry.
Well done, very good.

I ran around the house,
the only regret.
What can I say?
Tao ran along.
I am satellite, satellite, satellite.

I ran around the house.
The only regret?
I have never seen this.
Tao ran along.
I am satellite, satellite, satellite.

And now I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry about it.
Snakes do not scream.
They said they made them.
It's all good friends.
Satellite, satellite, satellite.

How now, networks; alas.
TV satellite broadcasting?
This is very, very good.
Satellite, satellite, satellite.
Well done.
Do it well, do very well.
