Babelfishing Poetry: "Better Than Flies"

Babelfishing Poetry: "Better Than Flies"

Hello? How are you?  Hope you're very well, fine, and dandy.   I have been staying indoors a lot due to the awful smoke from the Butte County fires, which has been getting worse in my area.  I cannot imagine how horrible it is for people in that actual area.  While we wait for the firefighters to get the upper hand on the conflagration, let's take a moment to relax with some Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, nudge the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

Today we delve back into 1974's musty vaults for Steely Dan's quirky, catchy hit "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" (listen to song here).  Enjoy.

Better Than Flies

We are having it.
I think it's starting, to some extent.
I think I run away with good running,
but too much heart.

Name, my friend.
We can manage the exit lines.
Go play.  I don't know;
can you change your mind?

He asked if you should not go home.
However, I thought it was better than flies.
Can you change your heart?

It's good to see the ladies' sense of values.
I don't want to talk to others.
Send an email to jibox.

It's good to see the value of your sisters;
it's just the beginning.
You are as good as a good one
when Dachege comes home.
