Babelfishing Poetry: "I Took A Hostage"

Babelfishing Poetry: "I Took A Hostage"

Hello, how are you?  How was your week?  I am still recuperating from my impromptu visit to the Emergency Department last week (and still waiting to hear from cardiology about my follow-up appointment ).  In the meantime, let's enjoy some more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, revise the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

Korean K-Pop girl group BlackPink (with Selena Gomez) brings us this week's feature with their summery, barely-PG "Ice Cream" (watch video here, or watch a "MV vs Reality" version here).  Enjoy.

I Took A Hostage

Do not back down because you are thirsty.
I love it; I push it like mud.

Cold, high-lying shoes.
He looks like Kahless.
Use jeans like pregnancy,
jump like a wheel.

He also knows how to put it on a rock in summer.
It might come out, but it's too hot to chew.

You choose,
piece by piece.
Store as a new elevator.

No, my good lord.
That's what I have done.
Kissing cold talk, screaming.
Keep in the refrigerator with ice.

Cool as evil, yes, on the outside, outside, outside,
being crazy in my heart.
You don't have to go too fast.
Thousands of miles, day, night and summer are in your hands.

Run like me!
Do you think the story is flying? Where can I apply for a visa?
Waterproof heart,
if you want a man with ice cream cone hands.

Do it.
I took a hostage.
Snow on the legs, correct?
Take cream bags.

Scream, "I manage!"
