Friday Afternoon Walk

Friday Afternoon Walk

On Friday afternoon, D. and I took a walk around our part of town, and I took these pics.

A bow.  On a gate.  It's Bowgate!

A pomegranate ripens on a neighbor's tree.

Poppies make abstract patterns against a sun-drenched wall down the street.

A side yard near downtown seems to harbor some anomalies.

The cupolas of City Hall and the Performing Arts Center at Civic Center rise above the neighborhood.

Deep crimson Japanese maple leaves grab a patch of sunlight.

Sweet gum leaves create a riot of color on the sidewalk.

Discarded by a vacant driveway, we find wooden sox.

On the way home, a large mirror propped up against a wall is like a window into a parallel world.
