Babelfishing Poetry: "10 Meters From Lynn, Sunbathing"
Hey-ho, here we go, all aboard for Kokomo! It's time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, adjust the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
Today, by special request from The Jan, Marc Cohn's "Walking In Memphis" gets the multi-language Babelfish treatment (watch video here). Enjoy.
10 Meters From Lynn, Sunbathing
Blue suede shoes,
and I fly airplanes.
Indigo display,
standing in the rain.
W.C. sounds.
And you want, or under?
Yes, I bought a ticket.
But how can an indigo man?
Move, Alexandria.
Feet, 10 meters from Lynn, sunbathing.
Standing chopsticks in Memphis.
But now I feel pain.
The spirit of Union Street, I saw Elvis.
He went to the entrance to the Holy Land.
See? You happen to him.
For now, there is no protection
around the grave.
However, this is a very small thing.
The king is waiting,
and make sure that there is room for price cuts.
I know catfish on the table.
There is an air of relaxation.
Glad to see you and the priest, and
if you do not have a prayer,
"But, boy!" is a prayer in Memphis.
Now, Queen Piano
every Friday in Hollywood.
He led me and
I do not know.
Is prime.
And sing along with their power.
Says I, "You, my son? Do you become a Christian? And?"
"I'm a night girl," he said.
Indigo display,
standing in the rain.
