Babelfishing Poetry: "Whatever You Want, Hey!"

Babelfishing Poetry: "Whatever You Want, Hey!"

Hello! Lovely to see you, and woo-hoo, it's Friday already.  Hooray!  And Friday means more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, change the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week it's Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' 1985 hit "Don't Come Around Here No More" (watch video here).  Enjoy.

Whatever You Want, Hey!

No longer come here.
Whatever you want, hey!
No longer come here.

I gave up.
I gave up waiting a long time.
I give up this love getting stronger.

I have no feeling.
I darken my door.
Whatever you want, hey!
No longer come here.

I gave up.
I gave up, you tangle of emotions.
I gave up.

Please know that honey is over.
Stop walking the streets of my country.
Who does not expect to meet it?

Whatever you want, hey!
No longer come here.
