Babelfishing Poetry: "One Neck Bird Song"

Babelfishing Poetry: "One Neck Bird Song"

Hello! And how are you today? Bright and breezy? Cheeky and cheerful? Chipper? Top-notch? Super-duper? All of those put together?  None of the above?  Yeah, me too.  Anyway, you're just in time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, kludge the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week is a special song in memory of my cat Won-Ton.  From Fleetwood Mac's blockbuster album Rumours, here is Christine McVie's gentle and soothing "Songbird" (read lyrics and listen to song here).  Wipe away that tear, and enjoy.

One Neck Bird Song

If you do not have the voice,
if the sun is shining,
I?
Well, I do not know.

If you are in the world,
if they are not you, cold,
how are you feeling?
Well, I do not know.

One neck bird song,
a new performance.
I love you, I love you, I love
organic plants, hee.

I love the world.
But first I would rather be a cornerstone.

And the little birds, singing, maintain
a new performance.
I love you, I love you, I love.
Never ... Never.
