Babelfishing Poetry: "Large Men In Missouri"

Once again, here's more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, futz with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week's feature is one of America's most beautiful folk songs, dating back at least to the early 19th century.  I grew up singing  "Oh Shenandoah" around campfires during summer vacations, strumming an accompaniment on my guitar, my best friend singing harmony.   And now you can enjoy it too (watch acclaimed choral ensemble Chanticleer sing their arrangement of the song here).  Enjoy.

Large Men In Missouri

Senando, look!  I'm a snow orchid!
Oh, you want to see?
Senando, look!  I'm a snow orchid!
Besides, I connected through the wide Missouri.

Senando, Ohio, I love your snow orchid Joey.
Oh, you want to see?
I do not want you roaming through the water.
Besides, I connected through the wide Missouri.

Senando, oh, I can not do this.
Oh, you want to see?
The Senando does not lie.
Far, far offshore, I was outside the limit
of large men in Missouri.
