Babelfishing Poetry: "I Smoke Two-Jointed, I!"

Babelfishing Poetry: "I Smoke Two-Jointed, I!"

Hello all!  So nice to see you.  The kettle is on, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and take the weight off your feet for a moment while we enjoy some  Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, mix up the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

My random pick for this week is The Toyes' song "Smoke Two Joints" (listen to song here -- and I challenge you not to let it turn into the earworm from hell).  Enjoy.

I Smoke Two-Jointed, I!

Two joints
in the morning
I smoke,
I smoke.

Two joints
at night, I . . .

smoke!

In the afternoon,
two joints.
It's me,
it makes you
feel good, I.

Smoke!

Time of peace
and war,
two words
at the time.

Smoke!

Two joints
before you smoke
two-jointed,
then smoke two.

Oh, my father once told me,
"Son, you're hard-working people."

Me once, his mother said:
"Honey, the best you can do,"
he said.

But one day,
someone told me it's,
"Work hard
and do a good job,
but the first treatment."

So now,
the smoke!

Two joints,
when?

Smoke!

Two words
in the car.
Two joints!
The video,
10,000 points
when you play
the smoke.

(I smoke two-jointed, I!)

Smoke!
