Babelfishing Poetry: "New Rain, More Snow"

It's Friday!  It seems like a minute ago it was Monday.  How on Earth did that happen?  It's a mystery to me.  Anyway, Friday means it's time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, get goofy with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

After watching maintenance workers (linemen) on the power lines in San Francisco Bay last Saturday, I was reminded of the haunting song written by Jimmy Webb and made famous by Glen Campbell, "Wichita Lineman" (listen to song here).  Enjoy.

New Rain, More Snow

The country's major sports.
I am the way; leadership!
V, especially bags.

I heard you sing;
all I hear is a groan.
Line flags and Saturday.

They need to know a little break.
New rain, more snow
in spite of the pressure of the south.

I always wanted to be.
Line flags and Saturday.
