Bay Trail in Hayward near Eden Landing, Part One

Bay Trail in Hayward near Eden Landing, Part One

On Sunday D. and I took a little walk along the section of the Bay Trail in Hayward near Eden Landing Ecological Reserve (not open to the public yet).  The trail ran between a light industrial park on one side and the salt flats of Eden Landing on the other.  We saw sandpipers, avocets, gulls, sparrows, northern shovelers, an Anna's hummingbird, some feral cats (cared for by someone who works in one of the nearby businesses), a California horn snail (endangered species), a skull and some leg and pelvic bones from what I think are bobcats, a dead lamb in the salt marsh (no pic), and some other miscellaneous stuff.  Here is Part One of the pics I took (the rest will be posted in a couple of days).

Stay tuned for the rest of the pics on Saturday!
