After attending to some business in San Francisco on Saturday, D. and I took some time before heading home to take a short walk through Mission Creek Park. In addition to the on-going construction activities at neighboring Mission Bay, we also saw the famous houseboats in Mission Creek, lots of flowers (gumplant, seaside daisy, oxalis, jade plant, mallow and heliotrope), waterfowl (seagulls, coots, an egret and a bufflehead), the ramps of Interstate 280 overhead as they swooped into and out of downtown, kayakers and boaters in the creek, an impromptu standing stone sculpture on the north bank of the creek, and the historic 4th St. Bridge and its massive 700-ton counterweight. Here's some of the pics I took.
