Babelfishing Poetry: "How Do I Use The Incredible?"

Babelfishing Poetry: "How Do I Use The Incredible?"

It's Friday!  It seems like a minute ago it was Tuesday.  How in blazes did that happen?  It hardly seems possible, does it?  Anyway, Friday it is, and that means more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, alter the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

It has been raining here a lot this week.  Not quite enough to make a serious dent in our prolonged drought just yet, but a substantial amount.  So how could I not pick Ann Peebles' classic 1970s song "I Can't Stand The Rain" for this week's featured song?  (Listen to Ann Peebles' original here, watch Missy Elliott's hip-hop version here, watch Eruption's disco-style rendition here, listen to Humble Pie's Janis-Joplinesque version here, and listen to Cassandra Wilson's post-modern interpretation here.)  Enjoy.

How Do I Use The Incredible?

No RAIN until
Windows Me.
"Santi is good, your proposal and get back," he said.
No RAIN until
Windows Me.
He is not here with me.

Well done, Window.
Say, are you saying that
how do I use the incredible?
"When we come together
if you are good at it," he said.
Now, then, what has
the only audio?
I can only proclaim the third.

How do you want RAIN?
Windows Me.
He is not here with me.
No RAIN until
Windows Me.
"Santi is good, you fall," he said.
