Babelfishing Poetry: "Roma Termini"

Babelfishing Poetry: "Roma Termini"

Hello all!  So nice to see you. Come in and have a look around -- the kettle is on, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and take the weight off your feet.  Comfy?  Good.  Here, for your amusement, is more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, mix the punctuation up a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week's song, from electropop rocker Gary Numan, is "Cars" (watch video here).  Enjoy.

Roma Termini

It is here, car;
the same safe haven, then.
And the door
is the only way to acquire the rewards of success.

Car.

It is here, car.
Want.
Here is the car.
What is constant is to hold as I hold.

Car.

It is here, car;
keep the picture.
I am, as I am.
So, I am open.

What is a car?

It is here, car.
You need to leave or start a residual male.
But that night,
although, as boys, we saw nothing good, you can.

Roma Termini.
