On Saturday after doing an errand in San Francisco, D. and I visited Pine Lake Park near Stern Grove, and I took some pics before we headed home.
There are lots of ducks on Pine Lake.
There are mallards.
There are white ducks that look like Muscovy hybrids.
There are shy little pied-billed grebes.
And there are coots.
The white ducks are friendly.
So are the mallards. Because they think we might feed them (which is prohibited).
Another view of Pine Lake from the opposite side.
Ripples make abstract patterns on the lake's surface in the late afternoon.
A nasturtium is a brilliant blaze of orange in the woodsy undergrowth along the side of the trail.
Even here in one of the meadows, we see a traffic cone.
