Babelfishing Poetry: "Potatoes Repeated After Potatoes"
Babelfishing Poetry: "Potatoes Repeated After Potatoes"
Hello! And how are you today? Bright and breezy? Cheeky and cheerful? Chipper? Top-notch? Super-duper? Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed? Full of sunshine? Rarin' to go? Full of ginger? Ready to face the day? Hunky-dory? In the swim? All of those put together? None of the above? No matter, because, regardless, it's time for some more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, change the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
I have no freakin' clue what this is all about, but here's Italian singer-actress Rita Pavone performing "My Name Is Potato" in Italian, singing to an animated American potato (watch video here). Yeah, I have no freakin' clue.
Anyway, enjoy.
Potatoes Repeated After Potatoes
Once.
I am who?
All of them are.
They want to know
potatoes.
Scalloped potatoes,
popular today
What is a male? It is very good; I saw it is.
Some are not.
So, yes, well done.
United States imperialism
asked if the potato heard of India.
Ooh, you know-all, Wu.
I was, back in the day,
the skillet.
O. o. meat.
No meat, no fruit, no eggs.
All ruled him out.
You can,
potatoes.
Your voice can.
It is
potatoes.
Potatoes; potatoes
repeated after
potatoes.
