Babelfishing Poetry: "Piles Of Horse Passion!"

Babelfishing Poetry: "Piles Of Horse Passion!"

Hello? How are you?  Hope you're very well, fine, and dandy.  Now that the U.S. election (one of the strangest and most contentious in history) is behind us, congratulations on making it through.  Now it's time to unwind a bit and soothe ourselves with this week's installment of Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, experiment with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week's feature, a bittersweet Bulgarian folk song, is "Polegnala E Todora" ("Полегнала е Тудора," or "Todora's Dream") (listen to the Filip Kutev choir perform the song live here).  Enjoy.

Piles Of Horse Passion!

Theodore is stable.
Theodore, Theodore, soon.
Give them a testimony for the olive trees,
not Theodore, Theodore.

More gorninets gas, sharp and bleeding.
Theodore, Theodore soon.
Olive branch,
not Theodore, Theodore.
Tudoré warning.
Theodore, Theodore soon.

Angry red pepper.
Theodore, Theodore soon.
Denmark, Mass., qualitative analysis.
Theodore, Theodore soon.
Now you can get cranky,
not Theodore, Theodore.

Sleep, sweet sleep,
not Theodore, Theodore.
He is one of the last items,
not Theodore, Theodore.
And a lot of great colors,
Theodore, Theodore soon.
A handful of colors,
T-bag, soon, T-bag.
Piles of horse passion!
Theodore, Theodore soon.
