Cornelis Bol Park, With Donkeys

Cornelis Bol Park, With Donkeys

On Saturday, after checking out the water-wise demonstration garden in Palo Alto, D. and I went to nearby Cornelis Bol Park for a short walk, where we happened upon the locally famous Barron Park donkeys.  Here are some of the pics I took.

A trail next to Matadero Creek is lined by dramatic trees.

A peek at Matadero Creek.

Colorful geranium leaves in a small planter next to the trail.

Mickey and Perry, in the donkey pen next to the park.

Mickey, just seconds before he pokes his snout over the rail and tries to eat my camera.

Miniature donkey Perry snacks on some vegetation in his pen.

Mickey is good at giving side-eye.

The pink flower ironbark eucalyptus tree by the donkey pen has showy blossoms.
