Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park

On Monday D. and I had a couple of errands to do in San Francisco.  Afterward we took a little walk in Buena Vista Park in the Haight-Ashbury district.  Here are the pics I took while we were there, prior to grabbing a veggie burger for dinner on Haight St. before heading home.

We set out on the service road through the trees.

A view of neighboring Corona Heights is visible through the branches.

A view to the southeast.  The air is very hazy due to severe wildfires burning to the north, and the smell of smoke is pervasive.

A towhee pauses next to the path.

Some flowers blooming along the path.

Views to the northeast through breaks in the trees.

Chalk heart graffiti.

A view of USF's St. Ignatius Church, to the northeast.

A crumbling log next to the path reveals a termite colony inside.
