It's Friday! It seems like a minute ago it was Tuesday. How did that happen? It's a mystery to me. (I am mystified easily.) Anyway, Friday it is, and that means more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, poke and prod the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week's feature is the 1950's pop ballad "You Belong To Me" (see lyrics and scroll down to listen to Jo Stafford's hit version of the song here). Enjoy.
This Is Mine
Pyramid, please refer to the Nile.
Watch the Solar Island Expo.
But just remember, dear, all the time,
this is my own.
Please refer to the unselfish pita.
Please send photos and memorabilia.
It seems just another dream of our visit.
This is my own.
You will be alone without.
Perhaps the green color is green.
Flying the silver sea surface.
Please refer to the non-west wood and see the wind.
Check the junk of the junk.
This is mine.
