It's raining today. Rain runs in blurred ranks down the panes, muttering tonelessly against the glass. Stray drips hang from branches, fire escapes, overhead wires. Little streams skitter along through the gutters, gurgling into drains at the corner. Sometimes it sleets, frozen rain clattering on the window. It's cold and dreary.
