What I Saw Today
Today, in between chilly rain showers, D. and I took a short walk through the neighborhood and saw the avocado tree on W. Dana starting to blossom. The tree is huge, at least 30' tall, and it still has some avocados on its branches from last year. I'm surprised it has survived all the sharp, frosty mornings we've had lately. The man who lives in the house under the tree told us last fall that the avocados aren't very good --- very stringy and no flavor. He told us to feel free to help ourselves, though.
