Byxbee Park

Byxbee Park

On a beautiful mild Sunday, D. and I returned to Byxbee Park to enjoy the bird activity.  Here are some of the pics I took.

We pass by the Pole Field art installation.

It's floof season here.

Most of the waterfowl in Mayfield Slough today are northern shoveler ducks.

A Cessna Skyhawk approaches nearby Palo Alto Airport.

A mallard hen keeps watch on the bank of Mayfield Slough.

A retired Air Force training plane nears the airport.

California buckwheat seems to glow in the late afternoon sun.

A look across the marsh before heading home.
