On Saturday D. and I visited the National Wildlife Refuge in Fremont to enjoy a mild winter day, and here are some of the pics I took.
Gumplant in bloom.
Looking east-southeast.
Agaves thrust flower spikes up into the air.
Seed pods are developing on the agaves.
A look up and down Newark Slough from the Tidelands Trail.
Scofflaws are flying a drone here illegally.
A beautiful view looking northwest.
Toyon berries and rose hips provide bright pops of color in the subdued autumn landscape.
