Hello? How are you? Hope you're very well, fine, and dandy, and are weathering your shelter in place orders reasonably well. Remember to wash your hands!! And don't touch your face!!
Do you know what day it is? That's right, it's Friday, and time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, massage the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
And not only is it Friday, it's also Green Day! Today we feature Green Day's song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," seeing as its refrain of "I walk alone" is ever so appropriate for this time of social distancing (watch video here). Stay safe, and enjoy.
I Wish He Was An Authentic Drunk
My daughter in law left.
He just knows girdle.
I'm not sure,
but my home was left alone.
You go like this.
Along the way, wild improvisations fade.
Namijo Castle wants to sleep.
My shadow drew them down on the floor.
My heart jumps.
Sometimes I wish he was an authentic drunk.
In a nutshell, I am traveling in Japan.
