Babelfishing Poetry: "My Prayers And Sprinkles"

Babelfishing Poetry: "My Prayers And Sprinkles"

I hope you've all been fine and well? No upsets? No disasters? No tornadoes, floods, unexpected sinkholes, avalanches, mudslides, blizzards, hailstorms, lightning strikes, hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, tsunamis, volcanoes, sandstorms, alien abductions, toxic spills, transit strikes, computer crashes, polar vorticies, landslides, gaping potholes, pandemics?  I hope not, I really do.  Because that would be sad it really would.  But we're not here to be sad.  We're here for something fun: more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, play with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

And what better song to feature during our extended shelter-in-place than the Beach Boys' "In My Room" (listen to song here).  Enjoy!

My Prayers And Sprinkles

I insist on giving the world a secret
in the room, in the castle room.
This is a single issue, yet is a fearful transformation
in the room, the room in the castle.

The dream come true:
my prayers and sprinkles.
You?
I've finished laughing.

It is dark now, and alone.
But they were afraid
in the room, in the castle room.
The room in the castle.
The room, the room in the castle.
My room is my room.
