Babelfishing Poetry: "We Have Ancient Fossils"

Babelfishing Poetry: "We Have Ancient Fossils"

It's Friday!  It seems like a moment ago it was Tuesday, didn't it?  How in blazes did that happen?  It hardly seems possible, does it?  Well, be that as it may, it's once again time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, nudge the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.

This week it's Duke Ellington's "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" (listen to Ellington's version here, or listen to Patti Page's version here, or listen to Tab Hunter's suave rendition here, or listen to the First Lady of Song Ella Fitzgerald's version here, or listen to cool cat Mose Allison sing it here, or listen to Earl Holliman's swingin' rendition here, or listen to Etta James' sassy version here, or listen to the band Chicago's version here).  Enjoy.

We Have Ancient Fossils

Delete music.
Looks like the bottom part of a blind man.
Because of this, I am no-nonsense.
Let's go.

My thoughtlessness -- a soldier.
You'll be closed.
This is my pit.
It is the Yonya.

Son, it was difficult for him to be so easy.
But because of the movement of life, we have ancient fossils.

They were guests.
Maybe eunuch Ben came out, but why?
It's very different for you.
I love running.
