Baylands

Baylands

Here are some pics from a visit to The Baylands Nature Preserve yesterday (I was too tired to take more than just a few).

A wooden post at the trailhead serves as an impromptu lost-and-found for someone's hair bow.

Looking east across the duck pond.

As the tide goes out, a black-necked stilt and a killdeer explore the exposed mudflats.

A channel carves its way through the marsh to the edge of San Francisco Bay.

Looking northeast across the marsh at the edge of the bay.
