Babelfishing Poetry: "I'm A Former Small Violin"
Babelfishing Poetry: "I'm A Former Small Violin"
Hello! And how are you lovely people today? Great, I hope. I have been happy this week because it's been raining, which my drought- and wildfire-ravaged state sorely needs. Let's hope this is a harbinger of adequate rainfall this winter. And let's also enjoy some more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, rearrange the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week's song, chosen at random, is John Denver's "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" (listen to Denver perform it live here, or listen to country artist Billy Dean's version here, or listen to Finnish folk/country band Finntrio's Finnish language version here, or watch a video of a cappella group Home Free sing the song here, or listen -- if you dare -- to an Alvin And The Chipmunks-style treatment of Home Free's version here). Enjoy.
I'm A Former Small Violin
Farm life is also quiet.
From what I can tell, there are no children in this world.
Wake up early, and stay early in Kiev.
I am not sorry for being unable to remain.
I just met her husband writing an important husband.
I grew up with a family and worked on a farm.
Does he dare too much for his spared modesty?
I am not sorry for what I cannot remain.
I'm a stick-like wife and child, I'm a former small violin,
therefore I will respect the female addict.
Life is not just entertainment, it is not a joke.
Emperor Shangdi, I'm a shangdi.
Well it was my violin until I died.
He held my hand and hugged me.
He said, "My aesthetic life, my violin arrogance."
Good luck, deceased rice sphere.
When I was a kid, my father taught me how to fish and wash clothes.
He taught her to play the violin and to play music.
The time has come, my demand has passed, and I am the Emperor.
I am not sorry for being unable to remain.
