Alviso: Yellows

Alviso: Yellows

Here are Monday's pics from Alviso, where the interesting trail we wanted to go on turned out to be closed for a couple of years for the salt pond restoration project, so we went in the less-interesting direction instead, and saw a lot of yellow things.

A view of salt pond A12, with a bright yellow construction boom in the water.

This side of the salt pond is lined with yellow wild mustard.

Wild radish stand out as being purple and white, not yellow.

A closer look at wild mustard, against a blue sky.

Yellow construction machines on the levee trail across the salt pond.

Gulls on a little island in the salt pond.  Some of the gulls have yellow legs.

Sow thistle floof.  (Original blossom was yellow.)

A not-yellow ground squirrel lurks in the shade along the side of the trail.

Another yellow flower (madia, I think).

A Southwest jet soars overhead after taking off from San José International Airport five miles away.
