Babelfishing Poetry: "If You Ate The World To Strengthen It" Apartment complex inanities continue. This week, in my floor's laundry room, the double-load dryer is out of order, turned sideways and pushed against the wall. The double-load washer door still hasn’t been replaced. It’s been that way for at least 3 weeks. Of the 3 pairs of single-load machines, two washers and one dryer were out of order. Sigh. I guess it's time to start schlepping the laundry to the nearest launderette. So while we observe the timeless rituals of wash, rinse, spin, let's enjoy some more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, have some fun with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem. This week's feature, stumbled upon in a "90's midwest emo doomer playlist for crying in an empty parking lot," is indie band American Football's " Stay Home " (listen to song here ). Enjoy. If You Ate The World To Strengthen It Gentlemen, then, if you ate the world to strengthen it, bear your answer. Well, my daughter, his eyes (with his eyes, lord), says, "What do you want?" It's easier for that. Some of them have come to you in Japan. .
