Earlier this week, my pet garden snail (Helix aspersa) Buster began to lose his appetite. A few days ago extremely rapid weight loss set in, and he grew progressively weaker. He passed away yesterday, cause unknown. I buried him in the spearmint patch with a couple of slices of cucumber and zucchini, his favorites.
Rest in peace, my little gentle giant. Eat well, wherever you are.
